What is the difference between fresh royal jelly and freeze-dried or lyophilized royal jelly?

The benefits of royal jelly are retained more effectively in a freeze-dried state versus trying to maintain its freshness and potency in liquid form. In its raw state, as extracted from the hive, royal jelly is a liquid containing approximately 67% water. It must be kept refrigerated or frozen.
